Lino PDM pro helps you to optimally integrate your Design Automation solution with the workflow of your PDM system. The optional encryption function protects your intellectual property from unauthorized access.
The Design Automation software from Tacton Systems enables you to configure even very complex products within minutes and to automatically emboss or map them in the Solidworks CAD system including all components – in full detail and including automatically generated production documents.
But who helps to find out whether certain products or components of them have been configured identically in the past and could therefore be easily reused? With Lino PDM pro, you can integrate a PDM system highly effectively with the Tacton Design Automation solution.
Lino PDM pro is currently available for four different PDM systems. Other PDM systems can be connected on request. The overview below shows an example of the functional range of the Solidworks PDM adapter. In principle, however, all PDM systems can be controlled by an adapter developed by Lino.
Intellectual property protection
The Lino PDM pro extension Encryption enables companies to protect their intellectual property in the Tacton configuration models. Encryption of the configuration rules ensures that sensitive data can be managed securely.
One interesting aspect of this technology is that it restricts the execution of the configuration model to the company network, which provides companies with additional security. This protection mechanism is particularly important in industries where the configuration of products and components is central to business success.
The integration of Lino PDM pro with various PDM systems makes it possible to take full advantage of design automation while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the data.

- Finding identically configured products:
If a product as a whole has already been configured exactly the same way in the past, the user is informed and has the option of immediately loading the already configured product into the CAD system. - Finding and using already configured components:
Even if the product as a whole has never been configured in this way, geometrically identical components of the product can exist. Lino PDM pro ensures that in this case the new product also uses the existing components instead of creating additional duplicates. Accordingly, Lino PDM pro also ensures that the associated drawings of the existing components are reused and that no new drawings are created for them. - Automatic document creation with check-in and number assignment from the PDM system:
Lino PDM pro automatically assigns the next free number from the PDM system to the components. This even works with classification-identifying numbers and for two number ranges, such as part number, serial number or document number. - One click action:
The user can complete the entire process from duplicate checking and, if necessary, duplicate exchange to document creation and check-in with a single mouse click. - Batch processing:
With this service, a large number of new variants in Tacton Design Automation Server and batch operation can be created very quickly. - Provision of current versions/revisions of already configured components:
As soon as Lino PDM pro detects that already configured components can be used, they are loaded into the workspace of the PDM system in the latest version (Pro.File or keytech) or updated in the vault copy (Solidworks PDM). In addition, all files required for the configuration are searched and reloaded. - Intellectual property protection
The Encryption option encrypts the IP information in Tacton configuration models, ensuring that sensitive information and configurations are not accessible outside the protected corporate environment.
