X-Reality (AR, VR) in Engineering, Project Development and Technical Sales

X-Reality applications (VR, AR) are powerful tools in engineering and project planning. They change the way employees from Sales, Service, Manufacturing or Management can collaborate with each other and their customers. They make it easier for project engineers, customers and designers to identify and master complex interrelationships and spatial constraints.

Lino’s X-Reality solutions provide you with powerful software modules for VR and AR that are optimally adapted for use in conjunction with Solidworks®, Lino® 3D layout and Tacton Configurator. The automatic export of existing 3D CAD models including materials makes it child’s play to generate VR and AR content. VR models can be configured with no problem using proven Tacton technology – existing configuration models can be efficiently reused here as well.

With X-Reality, consultants and customers can view the models simultaneously on the desktop and in the VR headset and explore all the details. VR engages the potential buyer 360° and AR brings the models both as miniature or as enlargement directly to the desktop.

  • The Solidworks 3D-CAD system is the data source
  • Thanks to direct integration, virtual content is generated automatically from the CAD data and transferred to the VR/AR applications at a single click
