HACA Leitern Lorenz Hasenbach: Sales Automation Accelerates Sales

HACA Leitern takes its sales to a new level with Tacton Sales Automation and Lino® 3D web, leveraging rules-based online configuration to ensure more rapid, error-free processes. But that’s not all: the intuitive, menu-driven 3D visualization is also propelling HACA to new heights in new business.

For decades, this company, based in Bad Camberg, Germany, has been known as the premiere supplier of dependable, sophisticated ladder systems for virtually any purpose. Particularly in the fixed ladder sector – for residential structures, halls, industrial facilities and even wind turbines – HACA’s assortment of standardized and specialized products has earned an excellent reputation.

Here, this family company offers a wide variety of standard components which can be combined to create even decidedly non-standard solutions. This broad range of possible combinations demands a wealth of expert knowledge on the part of the sales consultants, particularly since they must take into account not only structural and static issues but also legal norms and safety standards. As a consequence, embodying all these aspects in a viable product used to be laborious and time-consuming, which ultimately prompted HACA Leitern to reinforce its sales team with an IT solution.

The company had already gained a lot of positive experience with rule-based design using Tacton Design Automation. Lino GmbH was now commissioned to implement Tacton Sales Automation as well – and merge the two process strands. And that’s not all: using Lino® 3D web, the sales automation was expanded into an online configurator with 3D visualization that customers could use on their own.

The effort paid off completely. Rules-based product configuration ensures feasible, economical and legally compliant – in short, error-free – quotes, while at the same time accelerating order registration and quote generation by a factor of six. And the online configuration capability is delivering a decisive boost to new business.
