Studio Zwaard
Lino GmbH, a specialist in 3D configuration solutions for end-to-end business process automation (CPQ, CAD automation, system integration) in the manufacturing industry, and the Dutch Solidworks expert Studio Zwaard have jointly developed the software Lino® Simplify through a development partnership. This Solidworks add-on automates the process of model simplification.
The declared goal of the partnership is the development of a fully market-ready, comprehensive simplification tool for Solidworks assemblies—based on software and technologies that both partners had previously developed independently. “Thanks to the excellent cooperation, Lino® Simplify has become better than anything either partner could have achieved alone,” says Jan Jurjen Zwaard, Managing Director of Studio Zwaard.
“Studio Zwaard was brought into the project because of its expertise in model simplification, the Solidworks API, and Solidworks technology in general,” explains Rüdiger Dehn, Managing Director of Lino GmbH. He adds: “Customers such as Herbold Meckesheim, Matec, and Lan Handling Technologies are already using Lino Simplify productively. In the coming year, 2023, the Lino team will apply to Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation for certification as a Solidworks Solution Partner Product.”
